Life was never going to be perfect.

But we were never taught how to hold the reality of all of it — the beauty, the pressure, the chaos, the heartbreak, and magic.

Hi, I’m Abby, a somatic practitioner and educator, ceremonialist, and magic maker.

I’ve worked with and held space for women for the past 15 years, hearing hundreds of women unfurl in circles, retreats, and one-on-one spaces.

I’ve shed a lot of tears personally in those spaces, and in witness.

But not in despair.

When those shares and stories are held in sacred space, and those tears roll down our cheeks in sacred space — it’s simply sacred to feel.

It’s not about fixing or undoing. It’s about the importance of creating space and being with what is.

I’m a space holder, but I’m also a bodyworker who's worked particularly with the womb, pelvis, and nervous system. I also have a background in shamanics and energetics, and a degree in women’s studies.

There is space that needs to be held.

And there is action to be taken.

There are preventive measures to avoid repeating our self-sabotaging loops or finding ourselves in the same distressing situations again and again.

And it’s not just about mindset and willpower, or karma, astrology, and managing our energetic field. It’s physical, visceral, and primal.

  • Each session is 60 minutes, give or take 5-10 minutes, but I’d recommend giving yourself 90 minutes each week, so that you have time to settle in and not rush back to your day at the end.

    All the ‘homework’ is things you can add to your everyday life without setting aside extra time, and everything you learn is designed to become a part of you – not to become another thing to do. (Having said that, all the practices can always be used in a more elaborate way if you desire to spend extra time).

  • This course is not a dense educational space in the sense of having slides, teaching terminology, and taking notes. It’s experiential learning by being facilitated into your body, and FEELING, in a container of somatic context.

    In each session, there is always an opening, a drop-in, and then I speak and teach, but in a way that you are still in a meditative state — and then you'll be guided through a process into your body to unveil how these different flavors and parts show up in you, what they need, and how to meet them.

    These sessions are similar to the bi-weekly group somatic sessions I offer in the sense that you get to receive and be led, like a yoga, meditation, or dance class, but in this space, each session has a particular theme and will support you in getting to know a different aspects of yourself, your body, and your nervous system intimately. Some sessions are more invigorating while others are more restorative – but all are therapeutic.

  • This space is trauma-informed, but it’s not equipped to treat trauma. Abby is not a licensed mental health counselor. Make sure you have worked with appropriate professionals and are coming in well-resourced. This work is supplemental.

Yes, this is a nervous system reset – but really it’s about enjoying your life.

Over six weeks, you’ll dance through different energies, different systems within the nervous system, and different emotional and mental flavors, so that you can be more experientially acquainted with a wider range of patterns in yourself, and a wider range of tools and practices to meet the crazy spectrum of life.

Each session, you’ll be nourished and held like in a yoga, meditation, or free-form dance class, but you’ll also be facilitated within to uncover parts of yourself and understand your body, being, and what's at play in a completely different way.

This journey is educational and experiential.

It's ritualistic and ceremonial.

It's practical, easily applicable to everyday life, and it's soul-rich.

This work is about your physical well-being and mental health, but also your quality of life in a very intimate, emotional, personal, and spiritual way.

You cannot just intellectually learn about the nervous system and somatics; you have to feel it in your body, and learn how to be led by it.

Somatic intelligence is about the sovereign empowerment of following the current of life within and around you with instinctual clarity.

Our beings are fluid, complicated, vast, and shapeshifting. And so is life.

There’s no algorithm.

There’s no one solution or set of practices that fits all.
