We are not taught to listen to our bodies or follow our instincts— we are taught to override all of it.
This leaves us overwhelmed, tired, or burnt out.
We can often see what's at play, know what’s not working, but are left stuck.

And if we were to be really honest with ourselves — we're probably not near as present in our lives as we'd like to be.
And of course, we’re not.
We’ve been taught to force ourselves upon Life instead of being guided by it.
We are taught intellect and logic over felt-sense intuition.
We are taught action and doing over receptivity and listening.
We are taught busyness and productivity instead of seasonal and cyclical living.
Our bodies and nervous systems have been left behind — and we are all paying the price.

1:1 Somatic Sessions
It doesn’t matter what you think, or how you think you should feel, if your body doesn’t feel the same way.
Working with the body versus the story is how we rewire our physiological responses and patterns that create our lived experience and run our lives.
The story matters less than the felt-sense experience that is your present lived reality. This doesn’t mean that in sessions there’s no attention towards your thoughts or emotions, sharing or speaking, or that speaking and being heard, felt, and witnessed isn’t a profound part of it – it’s that it’s not isolated to this.
We are so used to keeping ourselves busy, our minds moving and occupied, that we’ve distanced ourselves from ourselves. We’ve lost touch with the intelligence of our bodies, and when we give them space to speak and lead, they are way more attuned to the reality we are living in than our heads.
Our heads can create all kinds of stories, but our bodies don’t lie — coming back to our bodies is where the answers are.
These sessions are a space to get out of your head, set the story down, and drop into the wild intelligence within.

Group Sessions
This gets to be your safe space to bring it all and not have to share a word.
In group sessions, everyone will be facilitated into a process together; there's no conversing or in-depth sharing.
These sessions are ultimately a body meditation — but you're not sitting stagnant.
There will always be some culmination of meditative-like guidance, movement, sounding, breathwork, and self-touch or holding, as you heighten your awareness to every little sensation in your body and tune into any messages available. There will be time at the end to integrate and rest with what arises, and space for optional short shares or questions.
Make sure you have the privacy you need to feel comfortable dropping in, and wear comfortable clothing, maybe layers, and have a little space to move.
This is virtual and will be held via Zoom. You're expected to keep your camera on, but you will be muted aside from invitational, optional short shares.
There will be no recordings of these sessions; this is a live space.
These sessions are complementary to 1:1 work, whether you are already seeing Abby, or another therapist or coach, and can also be done on their own.

One session will always grant you something, but a steady commitment will enable you to sustainably carry this work into every aspect of your life moving forward.

Bi-Weekly Sessions: $150

It’s a combination of talk therapy and meditative-like guidance into the body. You can share as much or as little as you want. Some days you might talk the whole session, some days we may do a full send into the body and talk very little. It depends on what you want, what you feel comfortable with, and what’s alive the day we meet.
The difference between this work and traditional talk therapy is letting your felt-sense experience in the moment speak, versus getting lost in the story, the past, why you think the way you feel the way you do, etc. Maybe you share something, and your throat clenches up, or you feel a pit in your stomach — we go into that, are led from there.
Breath, sounding, movement, and self-touch or holding are then integrated into everything — to either express what you feel, or to nurture or regulate what arises.

Most therapy does not incorporate somatics or nervous system education and regulation. This work can absolutely be supplemental, and will exponentially support your process of integration and healing that is happening elsewhere.

Abby has been holding space for women for 15 years, with a background in pelvic care, bodywork, women’s studies, and somatic therapy, but is not a licensed mental health counselor.
This space is deeply trauma informed, but does not treat trauma.
Forcing ourselves to feel when trauma has not been processed first can do more damage than good. Make sure you are well resourced and have had support with appropriate professionals before stepping into this work.

We all have a body, we all have a breath, and that's all you need. Whether in group sessions, or 1:1, you will always be given options and guidance to meet your body where it’s at.

It’s ultimately a preference.
1:1 sessions have the pro of more intimacy, personalization, and specific guidance – but without the talking, and the checking in – the group session is a full send into your body.
Sometimes, when talking isn't an option, it allows us to drop deeper. And sometimes we need to be seen, heard, witnessed, and felt more than anything. This is why 1:1 and group work are complimentary. What you can do in the group sessions will automatically transfer over to your 1:1 sessions (whether with Abby or elsewhere), and vice versa.

Hello, I’m Abby, a somatic practitioner and educator. I adore holding space for women to discover reverence for their bodies and the raw intelligence, power, and knowing that has always been there.
For the past 15 years, I’ve guided hundreds of women to unfurl in circles, ceremonies, and one-on-one sessions, and as a bodyworker, I’ve had my hands on countless bodies.
I’d always merged spirituality with psychology and touch — which was powerful —but the nervous system was the missing link that brought everything full circle.
